Professionals are required to register with appropriate bodies before they can practice in Mauritius.  The list below provides names of the organizations which administer licensing/registration requirements for professional services:

  1. Medical Practitioners: Medical Council of Mauritius
  2. Accountants: Mauritius Institute of Professional Accountants
  3. Engineers: Council of Registered Professional Engineers of Mauritius
  4. Architects: Professional Architects Council of Mauritius (as per the Professional Architects’ Council Act)
  5. Quantity Surveyors: Professional Quantity Surveyors Council of Mauritius
  6. Law Practitioners: Council for Vocational Legal Education (as per the Law Practitioners Act) and Financial Intelligence Unit
  7. Contractors, consultants, suppliers and other stakeholders working in the construction sector: Construction Industry Development Board
