Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS) and Counter-UAS (C-UAS) Business Development Trade Mission to Taiwan
Following an extensive review and vetting process, the following U.S. companies have been approved to participate in the Uncrewed Aerial Systems (UAS) and Counter-UAS (C-UAS) Business Development Trade Mission to Taiwan September 22-25, 2024.
About the Mission
This trade mission has been organized by the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration with the goal of connecting U.S. companies with business opportunities that increase U.S. exports and create American jobs while advancing broader U.S. national interests in the Indo-Pacific region.
Market demand in Taiwan for U.S. technologies and solutions for civil- and defense-related UAS and C-UAS products and services has steadily grown over the past five years, and that demand is projected to increase.
While the trade mission delegation is in Taiwan, it will meet with decisionmakers from Taiwan authorities, learn more about the political and economic environment on the island, and evaluate the potential for furthering and deepening ties between the United States and Taiwan in this economically important and fast-developing industry sector. Employing Jaia Robotics’ solutions across these areas reduces risk, broadens understanding, and exponentially increases the speed of decision making and responses.
JaiaBots can be programmed in minutes. They work in pods of 1 to many (infinite) vehicles that collect data or deliver payloads over wide areas very efficiently by travelling on the surface at high speeds. They conduct profile dives from the surface to depths up to 300 meters. The synoptic data gathering capabilities of the JaiaBot system provides wide area coverage enabling a dynamic analysis that is temporally connected, provides full volumetric data capture, and analysis of the area being surveyed. The data is logged onboard the JaiaBot and stored ready for download when within communications range of the Hub. There is also a long-range radio in the Hub that allows real-time data to be transmitted from the JaiaBots to the operator for real time situational awareness and data analysis. It also allows new or modified missions to be sent to the JaiaBot pod. The JaiaBot can also operate in “silent mode” as it collects the data and stores it onboard the JaiaBot for manual download after the mission is complete.
Leveraging Jaia Robotics’ open-source software and with 90% of the JaiaBot components being 3D printed, the JaiaBot is rapidly integrated and modified to meet the needs of the customer and operating environment(s). New sensors, payloads, and behaviors are delivered in months, not years.
