U.S. Department of Commerce

  • Market Development Cooperator Program (MDCP) - Through an annual competition, the International Trade Administration (ITA) selects a limited number of U.S. non-profit organizations to receive MDCP awards. A recipient gets up to $300,000, matched two-to-one by its own resources, to pursue a 3-5-year project designed to remove trade barriers and help U.S. firms to export.

The U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) funds feasibility studies, technical assistance, and the comprehensive analysis that infrastructure projects need to move from concept to financing to implementation. All feasibility studies and technical assistance are led by U.S. companies.

U.S. Department of Energy

  • Project Planning Guidelines - The U.S. Department of Energy’s Advanced Research Projects Agency - Energy (ARPA-E) has prepared a number of guidelines to assist with project planning on topics such as export control and technology-to-market issues.

  • Trade Capacity Building Tool - The Trade Capacity Building Tool (TCB) aims to help developing countries more effectively participate in international trade and create stable trading relationships that promote prosperity and security.  Data shown on TCB illustrate the United States Governments’ work in TCB in developing and transition countries and can help highlight opportunities for U.S. private-public sector engagement.
