All packages, cases, and bales must bear shipping marks, numbers, dimensions, country of origin, and the gross weight of the merchandise.
Packages along with accompanying bills of lading for goods to be shipped through Türkiye must be marked “In Transit.” All goods entering Türkiye through a port of entry are cleared through customs. Full payment of duty is required unless the packages and bills of lading are marked “In Transit.” Goods marked “In Transit” may be cleared for entry and reshipment.
Specific labels may be required for certain imported products. For example, for food and agricultural products labelling and marketing requirements please see the FAS Food and Agricultural Import Regulations and Standards Report for Türkiye. Labeling requirements are outlined on the websites of relevant institutions, such as the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, and the Turkish Standards Institute.
