Clean EDGE and Enviro Tech Mission to India
Executive-Led Clean EDGE and Environmental Technologies Business Development Mission to India
The Mission
The United States Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration (ITA) is organizing an executive-led Clean EDGE (Enhancing Development and Growth through Clean Energy) and Environmental Technologies Business Development Mission to India, March 4-8, 2024. Mission stops include Delhi and Mumbai with an optional stop on March 11, 2024 in Hyderabad or Chennai.
The objective for this mission is to support the U.S. vision to grow sustainable and secure clean energy markets in India by promoting U.S. exports and removing trade barriers. This trade mission will accelerate the adoption and deployment of energy and environmental solutions, helping India to meet its climate commitments and protect human health and the environment.
Participants in the mission will be introduced to key stakeholders in India and assist U.S. companies in finding foreign business partners to export their products and services in India. The mission will include customized one-on-one business appointments with pre-screened potential buyers, agents, distributors, and joint venture partners. Participants will gain market insights, make industry contacts, and solidify business strategies with the primary goal of increasing U.S. exports of clean energy and environmental technologies, products, and services to India.
Following the mission, participants may want to take advantage of the India Smart Utility Week trade show held in Delhi on March 12-16, 2024. India Smart Utility Week is a major international event on smart grids, electric mobility, and smart cities. The India Smart Utility Week trade show is not a part of the mission nor a U.S. Department of Commerce event.
The goal of the trade mission is to create opportunities for U.S. companies to showcase their energy and environmental technology products and services to key stakeholders and business partners in India, to assist U.S. companies in finding foreign business partners to export their products and services to India, and to develop stronger industry relationships.
Mission participants will have the opportunity to meet with key Indian decision makers to discuss how to foster policies, regulations, and financial investments that support the development of sustainable, secure, and clean energy markets, supporting the protection of human health and the environment.
Mission participants will network with Indian national and state government officials, be introduced to prospective business partners, and facilitate discussion on best practices in their areas of technical expertise. By participating in an official U.S. industry delegation, rather than traveling to India individually, U.S. industry representatives will enhance their ability to secure meetings and gain greater exposure, as well as leverage the networks of prescreened industry buyers, distributors, and industry stakeholders developed by Commercial Specialists.
