Advanced Manufacturing Mission to Indonesia, Singapore, and Japan

Advanced Manufacturing Business Development Mission to Indonesia, Singapore, & Japan
October 17-21, 2022

The Advanced Manufacturing Business Development Mission will assist U.S. producers of advanced manufacturing products and systems to identify export opportunities in Indonesia, Singapore, and Japan. The mission will visit Jakarta, Indonesia; Batam, Indonesia; and Singapore, along with an optional stop in Tokyo, Japan. These markets present excellent opportunities for U.S. companies because of their strength and projected growth in advanced manufacturing, and their strategic location in the Asia Pacific region.

The mission will focus on advanced manufacturing—sometimes called “Smart Manufacturing” or “Industry 4.0” —products and systems. These products and systems increase productivity and quality, reduce energy use, and enable manufacturers to better monitor and interact with their supply chains, which are all essential to promoting manufacturing resiliency and clean technology adoption.

The mission will include group interaction with government agencies and industry experts; promotional opportunities at the Industrial Transformation Asia-Pacific (ITAP) trade show; and customized one-on-one business appointments with pre-screened potential agents, distributors, partners, and buyers.

This mission was developed as part of the Market Development Cooperator Program (MDCP) grant awarded to the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA), which looks to expand U.S. exports of advanced manufacturing solutions through greater participation in relevant technical standards development and greater collaboration with business leaders.

Application deadline has been extended to July 1! Applications received after this date will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
