Supporting Climate and Trade Agenda
ITA supports American manufacturers and service providers and helps American workers lead the global market in the production of climate solutions. We support the climate and trade agenda by promoting U.S. exports, supporting U.S. companies competing for foreign projects, assisting in developing market opportunities, developing resources for U.S. industry, and much more.
ITA connects U.S. companies with international buyers and partners looking for cutting-edge climate solutions. ITA’s advocacy and export promotion efforts support hundreds of thousands of U.S. jobs.
ITA designs and implements in-country programs to grow demand and improve the business environment for U.S. climate solutions. Through its commercial diplomacy efforts, ITA provides forums to share best practices and promotes policies in foreign markets to enable trade in climate solutions. This includes seeking the adoption and implementation of strong, industry-led environmental standards that are critical to a sustainable climate pathway.
ITA produces analytical resources that help U.S. companies focus their business development efforts and guide U.S. climate solutions providers toward the best export markets for their products and services. ITA also offers informational products on intellectual property rights and other tools available to U.S. climate solutions providers through ITA and other U.S. government agencies.
ITA uses trade policy tools, including representing the interests of U.S. industry in trade negotiations, to improve supply chain resilience and increase U.S. manufacturing of climate solutions. ITA facilitates greenfield business investment in the United States and is a resource for information, data, counseling, and other services for potential and existing business investors in U.S. climate solutions.
Through public-private partnerships, ITA supports the development of emerging technologies that can help the United States and global partners reach climate ambitions. In coordination with other U.S. government agencies, ITA promotes international collaboration and addresses underlying challenges to emerging climate tech deployment, including regulations and financing.
