WASHINGTON - Deputy Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Services at the International Trade Administration (ITA) Neema Singh Guliani will travel to New Delhi, India, between February 26 – March 3, 2024, to deepen the United States’ already strong bilateral commercial relationship with India and further strengthen public-private partnerships that enhance the competitiveness of U.S. digital technologies in the region.
On February 26, in the inaugural session for the U.S. Department of Commerce, Deputy Assistant Secretary Guliani will participate in the Confederation of Indian Industry AI Summit, to underscore the shared priority of strengthening international partnerships in supporting a responsible and innovative artificial Intelligence (AI) industry. Deputy Assistant Secretary Guliani will also meet with senior Indian government officials to enhance U.S.-India bilateral cooperation on digital technologies, including AI, cybersecurity, and data flows, as well as on supply chains. She will also meet with members of the American Chamber of Commerce in India to discuss supply chain resilience opportunities in the region. Furthermore, Deputy Assistant Secretary Guliani will engage with U.S. and Indian tech entrepreneurs and leaders to reinforce ITA’s sustained commitment to advancing women’s economic empowerment in India and promoting digital inclusion globally.
