Deputy Assistant Secretary Guliani to Advance Digital Collaboration in Türkiye

WASHINGTON - From March 4-6, 2024, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Services Neema Singh-Guliani will travel to Istanbul, Türkiye, to lead a U.S. business delegation to the U.S.-Türkiye Digital Dialogue (Dialogue) to strengthen U.S.-Türkiye cooperation on digital technologies and cross border data flow priorities.
During the trip, Deputy Assistant Secretary Guliani will engage with both public and private sector leaders during the first in-person meeting of the Dialogue on various priorities in digital technologies including cross border data flows, next generation wireless networks, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and cybersecurity. She will later meet with members of the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Türkiye to underscore ITA’s ongoing work to increase bilateral commercial engagement and to highlight ITA’s EMPOWER HER initiative, which aims to promote equity and women’s economic empowerment and entrepreneurship, in collaboration with European AmChams. Deputy Assistant Secretary Guliani will also invite U.S. and Turkish private sector participation in the upcoming Trade Winds Europe/Eurasia Business Development Forum, which will take place in Istanbul from May 13-15. Trade Winds, the U.S. Government’s largest annual trade mission, will bring around 150 U.S. business representatives to Istanbul and five other European and Eurasian markets, to pursue business opportunities and advance trade relations with key trading partners.
