Poland Travel and Tourism LOT Polish Airlines-JetBlue Airways Agreement
The agreement will help LOT by allowing it to offer over 100 additional destinations to its customers. JetBlue will benefit from this as LOT will help fill its planes with additional passengers. JetBlue will also help fill LOT’s seats on flights from the U.S. to Europe.
LOT has flown to the United States for over 30 years, servicing some of its largest cities. It currently operates 35 flights per week to the U.S., all of which are being flown from the company’s global hub at Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW) on its Boeing 787 Dreamliners. The U.S. cities it services are Chicago, Miami, New York, and Los Angeles. Through JetBlue’s network, passengers will have access to dozens of additional cities across the U.S.
Out of all the destinations JetBlue offers, LOT expects its passengers to primarily take advantage of flights to Las Vegas, Boston, Orlando, San Francisco, and Seattle. JetBlue also provides flights to the Caribbean, of which LOT anticipates that flights to the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico will be of the most interest.
This agreement opens great opportunities for everyone related to tourism, both in the USA and in Poland. It will make it easier for Poles to travel to the United States, for business or for leisure and is expected to result in increased interest in this destination. Thus, it will open additional business opportunities for American tourism operators, hotels and airlines.
