Kansas Events

The U.S. Commercial Service in Kansas City, Missouri, organize and supports conferences, seminars, webinars, and events to educate our clients and promote international trade. Our goal is to help local U.S. exporters sell globally. A sampling of our events include:

  • Executive briefings in our office with one of our visiting Commercial Service Officers from around the world.
  • Education export seminars and online webinars.
  • Matchmaking and export counseling services at international trade shows overseas and in the U.S.

By organizing trade missions and educational seminars; providing matchmaking or export counseling services at trade shows; and recruiting buyer delegations to U.S. trade shows; the U.S. Government helps U.S. exporters expand global sales at trade events.

Note: Grant funds are available to qualifying U.S. companies through the states of Kansas and Missouri that can be applied towards the cost to participate in any of the below opportunities and trainings.

If you aren’t sure what the CE or CCC marks are, or how to get one for your product — then our new videos are for you. The European Union and China have certification schemes covering numerous products. The process to qualify can be lengthy, involve testing in special labs, and potentially be expensive. However, it will also give you access to these large markets.

● Application Period for the President’s “E” Award for Exporting Ends January 24, 2020

The President’s “E” Award affords suitable recognition to persons, firms, or organizations which contribute significantly in the effort to increase U.S. exports. These awards are administered by the U.S. Department of Commerce International Trade Administration.

There are two types of “E” Awards:
The President’s “E” Award for Exports is awarded to exporters of goods or services.
The President’s “E” Award for Export Service is awarded to organizations that help others to export.
