On July 30, 2020, the Department of Commerce (Commerce) announced the initiation of antidumping duty (AD) and countervailing duty (CVD) investigations of imports of certain metal lockers and parts thereof from China.

For AD investigations, the deadlines are set forth in section 733(b) and 735(a)(1) of the Tariff Act of 1930, as amended (the Act). For CVD investigations, the deadlines are set forth in sections 703(b) and 705(a) of the Act.

Imports of certain metal lockers and parts thereof enter under HTSUS subheadings that cover subject and non-subject merchandise; therefore, the import data may be overstated. The petitioners estimated the 2019 volume of imports of certain metal lockers and parts thereof at 79 million pounds.

Products, Inc. (Greeneville, NC), and Tennsco LLC (Dickson, TN).
