Labeling/Marking Requirements
Last published date:
All products intended for retail sale in Mexico must be labeled in Spanish prior to importation. Products that must comply with commercial and sanitary technical regulations (Normas Oficiales Mexicanas or NOMs) must follow the guidelines, as specified in the applicable NOM. It is important to remember that NOM and labeling compliance as well as many other customs requirements requested by the Government of Mexico must be conducted in almost all cases by the Mexican importer and/or a Mexican entity. For more detailed information, see the Standards for Trade section of this guide.
