Austria Events Webinar Renewable Energy
Overview
U.S. President Joe Biden is ushering in a new era of climate policy in the United States. Hours after being sworn-in on January 20, he signed an executive order beginning the 30-day process for the U.S. to reenter the Paris Climate Accord. Since then, he has created the National Climate Task Force, named a National Climate Advisor, announced the Earth Day Leaders Summit, and introduced a sweeping $2 trillion infrastructure package that promises a massive investment in renewable energy, with support for the construction of high-voltage power lines, renewed tax incentives for solar, wind, battery, and other renewables as well as carbon capture/storage solutions, electric vehicle sales, and a national charging infrastructure.
How will this new policy direction impact the U.S. energy economy? What opportunities does it present for Austrian renewable energy businesses? Who plans and finances renewable energy projects? Is this the right time to start or expand your business in the United States?
The U.S. Embassy, together with our partners from the Dachverband Erneuerbare Energie Österreich and the AUSSENWIRTSCHAFT AUSTRIA, will explore these questions and others with leading American renewable energy experts. Austrian companies with U.S. subsidiaries as well as those considering starting a business in the United States will have the opportunity to engage in a moderated discussion, pose questions (in German or English) and request follow-on meetings with our industry experts.
