Apply for the The President’s “E” and “E Star” Awards
Interested exporters and export service providers apply electronically through their local Department of Commerce U.S. Export Assistance Center (USEAC).
We want applying for the Award to be an easily understood process. Individual counseling and sample applications and justifications are available upon request to Eawards@trade.gov.

When Are Applications Due? | Applications should be received by the local USEAC at least two weeks before the deadline to allow time for local review. Please cc: Eawards@trade.gov when submitting your application. Application Period: Applications for the President’s E-Awards will be accepted between November 1 and the Friday following the Martin Luther King holiday in mid-January each year. |
What to Expect After You Apply?
- The ITA nominating employee will certify that the company is eligible for ITA services and forward to the E Awards Program Manager (Laura Barmby).
- You will receive an email acknowledgement of the receipt of your application from Eawards@trade.gov or from Laura.Barmby@trade.gov within 24 hours of its submission. If you do not receive the acknowledgement, the application was not received.
