PA Company Finds Success In Israel

Daisy on Trade Mission

Pennsylvania-based Daisy Data Displays Inc. is a manufacturer of ruggedized PCs, Displays and HMIs for the world’s toughest environments. Since its founding 40 years ago, Daisy has developed unique knowledge and specialized product lines supporting the U.S. Military, as well as the energy, chemical, and life sciences industries throughout North America. The family-owned company was seeking to expand its business to new markets overseas. Gregory Dubin, Executive Vice President of Strategy, applied for the Executive-led Aerospace and Defense Trade Mission the Middle East (November 6-10, 2022) to learn more about the Israeli and Bahrain aero/defense markets and meet with potential local partners, end users, and government / industry entities. The trade mission was led by Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Global Markets Arun Venkataraman and organized by the U.S. Commercial Service Global Aerospace & Defense Team.

During the Israel portion of the trade mission, Daisy Data Displays met with several potential partners and visited with local firm Elimec Electro-Mechanical Engineering, to vet the firm for appropriateness of a partnership. Daisy was counseled by CS staff on doing business in the market and provided background information on the Israeli firms with whom the company met.

Following the trade mission activities, Daisy Data Display signed a partnership agreement with Elimec (January 2023) to represent the firm in Israel and India.

“Our mission is to open up our decades of knowledge and field-proven solutions to customers across the globe. The current technological needs in the Middle East and India align well with Daisy’s capabilities and we see these geographies as prime areas for growth,” Daisy President Avi Shefet explained. “Elimec has deep technical expertise, an extensive sales network, and a very complimentary line card. We believe they are an ideal fit to help Daisy better serve customers in the region.”

“On the Trade Mission, we had the opportunity to meet with industry leaders and government officials to learn about the potential opportunities and process for expanding Daisy’s business in their respective countries,” Dubin stated. “This experience validated our assumptions to pursue this region as a key part of our growth strategy and was invaluable in helping us craft a blueprint to do so.”
