Idaho Software Firm Impacts Global Brand Communications in Europe

Viiision, based in Meridian, Idaho, is a SaaS company that offers QR code solutions to businesses. Seeking to expand the start-up internationally, Viiision’s founder turned to the U.S. Commercial Service Boise (CS Boise) for guidance.
CS Boise encouraged the company to apply for a Women in Tech Trade Mission and advised them of Idaho STEP Grant funds that could be used to facilitate her participation. The U.S. Commercial Service provided vetting, counseling, and due diligence for Viiision in advance of the trade mission. Once accepted into the trade mission, The Commercial Service’s Rural Export Center collaborated with CS Lisbon, CS Paris, and CS Amsterdam to produce in-depth market analysis reports and set up targeted B2B meetings. Viiision benefited greatly from these meetings, developing relationships with notable organizations such as Chateau-neuf du Pape and Disney Paris in France, car manufacturers in Germany, and museums across Europe.
Resulting from the activities on the trade mission, Viiision secured international clients, gained over $1 million in investment from contacts made in Paris, and hired three employees to handle its growing international portfolio. The company also partnered with Idaho-based Because International to export its technology, helping entrepreneurs in India, Africa, and other regions communicate their products to customers in multiple languages. In addition, Viiision is now used for communication during international trade missions, and supports multiple companies in exporting food, wine, beauty, and clothing products internationally. Viiision also exports its software to companies in other countries to assist in their efforts to export and to serve tourists.
As a result of this partnership with the U.S. Commercial Service, Viiision has achieved over $250,000 in international sales and expects over $4 million next year.
“The contact information for the companies (from the RAISE Country Reports) was sent to the CS specialists in each country and that guided the contacts they set me up with. The meetings were super specific to the interests and needs of Viiision. They were amazing!”
“I have a deep gratitude for US Commerce and Idaho Commerce and the support and resources they have provided to Viiision. Now, as Viiision becomes international, they continue to guide us, open doors, and encourage our success. This has amplified our growth and intensified our understanding of how US and state commerce collaborate to provide critical to support emerging businesses. I can feel the impact personally and see how it supports a critical infrastructure of the national and global economy.”
