WASHINGTON – Members of the media are invited to register for the Discover Global Markets: The Blue Economy business development forum taking place September 20-22 in Providence, Rhode Island. This is the Commerce Department’s flagship event series for U.S. exporters, with this year’s theme focused on bolstering the international success of U.S. companies in the interwoven sectors of ocean science, marine renewables, maritime transportation, port technology and services, and more.
The full program includes a dynamic mix of plenary sessions, topical roundtables, prescheduled one-on-one meetings with foreign buyers, distributors, government officials, and U.S. commercial diplomats based in more than 20 key markets around the globe. Plenary sessions on Wednesday, September 21, will include virtual keynote remarks from Secretary of Commerce Gina M. Raimondo and a fireside chat between International Trade Administration Under Secretary Marisa Lago and NOAA Administrator Richard Spinrad, Ph.D.
