Qatar Energy In-Country Value Program - TAWTEEN
In November 2024 QatarEnergy, a state-owned oil and gas company, had launched a TAWTEEN Forum which highlighted the importance of the in-country value (ICV) scores in the supply chain of the energy sector. The initiative was designed to encourage local production, support small medium enterprises (SME), enable local companies’ access to funding, talent and training development programs and maximize opportunities for collaboration with larger companies.
The implementation of TAWTEEN will enhance economic diversification, create job for Qatar nationals, support local SMEs by promoting an innovative culture among local firms, and adopt new technologies and practices that can improve diversification, efficiency, increase competitiveness and sustainability in the energy production and management.
