Poland Media and Entertainment co-financing opportunities for film productions
There are 12 Film Funds currently operating in Poland. The oldest one, in Łódź, was established in 2007. The newest one, in Gdańsk, in 2022. They have been set up by regional authorities to provide support for audiovisual productions and contribute to the development of various regions in Poland.
On August 1, 2024, the Warmia-Masuria Film Fund will begin accepting applications for co-financing of film productions. It is open to producers of feature films, documentaries, animations, and TV series. The film project must be connected to the region and the production must be located in Warmia and Masuria. More information about the application process is available on the Fund’s website: https://funduszfilmowy.warmia.mazury.pl/en/.
U.S. companies can apply for funding for film production through a Polish co-producer. The website of the Warmia-Masuria Film Fund has a database of local film production companies. The application must be submitted in Polish. The deadline for submitting applications is 12:00 pm (noon) on August 30, 2024.
