Mexico Textile Regulation
The regulation describes the commercial information that manufacturers must include in the labelling of textile products, articles of apparel, clothing accessories, and household linen (replaces technical regulation NOM-004-SCFI-2006). The sections with key updates are:
1. Country of origin;
2. Fiber composition (raw materials description);
3. Care instructions;
4. Sizes and dimensions of apparel and household linen; and
5. The addition of the following reference standards: NMX A-029 INNTEX-2010; NOM-020-SCFI-997; and ISO 13688:2013 Protective clothing – General requirements.
U.S. exporters must comply with the requirements in Mexican technical regulations.
