Mexico Standards Infrastructure Program 2024

The National Quality Infrastructure Program (PNIC) is the official document used to plan, inform, and coordinate public and private standardization activities.

The PNIC describes Mexico’s plans for new voluntary standards (NMXs) and mandatory technical regulations (NOMs) as well as proposed changes to existing standards and technical regulations.  Mexico´s 2024 National Quality Infrastructure Program published on January 30, 2024 can be found here: https://www.dof.gob.mx/nota_detalle.php?codigo=5715491&fecha=30/01/2024#gsc.tab=0

U.S. stakeholders can participate in the process in several ways. They can:

•    Review the PNIC to learn about proposed standards and technical regulations.
•    Participate in the applicable technical working group (may require a physical presence).
•    Submit comments during the public consultation period; and
•    Solicit the creation, modification, or cancellation of technical regulations and standards.
