Mexico Electromobility and Battery Project Regulation
The Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE) published for comments the preliminary regulation to establish the guidelines for the development of charging infrastructure to accelerate and regulate the installation of charging centers for electric, plug-in hybrids and hybrid vehicles.
The regulation also aims to develop the standards for battery disposal and introduce the General Administrative Provisions (DACG) on electromobility to integrate charging infrastructure into the National Electrical System. It further addresses the development of a smart electrical network and the rates of charging stations.
U.S. companies are encouraged to review the project and submit comments here: https://www.cofemersimir.gob.mx/portales/resumen/56697
