Kenya Textiles and Apparel Procurement of Used Clothing from USA

Kenya represents a huge market for secondhand clothing, importing approximately 100,000 tons a year. The nominal value of secondhand clothing imports into Kenya jumped by 80% from 2016 and 2020, going from 100 million USD to 180 million USD, representing a large potential market for American companies. 

Sandy Springs Homes, a Kenyan company, is seeking to expand into the secondhand clothing market, and is actively seeking American secondhand clothes to add to its offerings. The company is looking to connect with qualified U.S. used clothing companies to explore purchasing and importing their wear into Kenya.
