Kenya Calls for Expression of Interest to Construct, Maintain, and Repair Grain Handling Facilities and Infrastructure
The Kenyan Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development has rolled out a $225 million National Farm Mechanization Program to address food and nutritional security in the country by increasing farm mechanization from the current 30 percent to 50 percent.
As part of this farm mechanization program, the Government of Kenya (GoK) plans to build new grain handling facilities and infrastructure in various parts of the country.
The mechanization program is aimed at providing the farming community with the necessary support to scale up farming operations and productivity as well as stand up an integrated marketing and logistics system to modernize the sector and make it commercially viable and competitive.
Interested US companies involved in building and operationalizing grain handling facilities and infrastructure are encouraged to reach out to the US Commercial Service using the contact information below.
