Japan World Expo Osaka 2025 USA Pavilion Design
The next World Expo on April 13 - October 13, 2025, is a phenomenal opportunity for U.S. exhibitors, and new details are now available to help you plan your participation! This report shares key details of the USA Pavilion plan at the Expo, to be built on the island of Yumeshima in Osaka, Japan. ES Global has partnered with New Orleans-based Trahan Architects to develop the innovative exterior design of the USA Pavilion and Alchemy is the project manager. ES Global also partnered with Los Angeles-based BRC Imagination Arts, an experiential planning and design firm, to develop immersive exhibits and storytelling.
On January 31, 2024, U.S. Ambassador to Japan Rahm Emanuel revealed the design and the theme of the USA Pavilion: “Imagine What We Can Create Together.”
There will be opportunities for U.S. organizations to get involved with the USA Pavilion. Target industries include: building supply, green and space tech, interior design, furniture, raw food and agricultural products, food and beverages, uniform, retail, entertainment, airline and hotels. The USA Pavilion features several areas where U.S. organizations might be interested to host a product launch, a sales training, or business transaction. More details for the USA Pavilion business programs are forthcoming.
Other examples of how U.S. firms will find business value in the USA Pavilion include the ability to host events, conduct business, and engage media. U.S. states, cities, and localities can promote trade and investment on a global stage. Participants can use the USA Pavilion to announce partnerships, launch new brands and initiatives, enter and/or expand in the Indo-Pacific market all while having access to global media, governments, investors, clients and customers.
Background: This Osaka-based event will welcome an estimated 28 million visitors over the six-month duration of the Expo, and the USA Pavilion is projected to attract 5-6 million visitors. The USA Pavilion has four key messages for Expo 2025 Osaka:
1) Nature: when we open ourselves to the wisdom of the natural world, we can co-create a better future for ourselves and our planet
2) Space, Innovation and Technology: our collective imagination drives us to explore space and our learnings from space will inform our future on Earth
3) Education: whatever future you can imagine, there is a place for you to pursue it in the United States
4) Travel: the diversity of natural and cultural wonders of the USA fuels our imagination
The U.S. National Day will take place on July 19, 2025. Expo is also featuring eight different theme weeks:

Week 3: Necessities of life: food, clothing and shelter (6/5-6-16/2025)
