Finland Game Cameras
Trail and game cameras are becoming popular among Finns. These cameras have become less expensive and people have found them to be durable in Finland’s changeable and sometimes very cold weather. With around 300,000 licensed hunters trail/game cameras are commonly used to find game. These cameras are also increasingly used as surveillance cameras in homes and vacation cottages, of which there are over 500,000 in this country of 5.5 million people. The majority of these cottages are located in rural areas where trail and game cameras have shown to be reliable outside surveillance devices.
The advent of Covid-19 and telework led many Finns to move temporarily to their cottages, and this boosted sales of trail and game cameras by 20-30 percent. Not only are these cameras now cheaper than paying monthly fees for security companies for indoor/outdoor surveillance, but the popular ones can be controlled and monitored remotely via mobile devices in real time. Trail and game cameras are widely sold in both specialty stores and bigger general stores. U.S. manufactured products have a good reputation in Finland.
