Croatia Wastewater Treatment Project
The City of Zagreb is launching a major infrastructure project to upgrade its Central Wastewater Treatment Plant. The upgrade will include enhancing the existing facilities by incorporating advanced purification stages to comply with EU standards. Currently, the first and second stages of water purification are operational. However, the addition of the third and fourth stages is essential to meet the full EU requirements.
The estimated value of the project is €94 million. The project will be co-financed by European Union funds designated for upgrading the environmental protection infrastructure in Croatian cities. The project represents opportunities for U.S. companies with expertise in wastewater treatment, water purification technologies, environmental engineering, and construction.
