Brazil Mining Soda Ash Demand
Mining companies in Brazil are seeking U.S. supply of soda ash for processing Rare Earths.
Brazil has an immediate need for U.S. supply of over 7,000 metric tons per year of soda ash, to be used in the processing of Rare Earths needed for permanent magnets used in wind turbines and EVs.
Mining companies in Brazil are seeking as much as 7,000 metric tons per year of soda ash from U.S. suppliers for Rare Earths mining.
There are currently no suppliers of soda ash in Brazil. The only local producer, Companhia Nacional de Alcalis, ceased its operations in 2006. As a result, shipping soda ash from countries like the United States has become a viable alternative for industries such as mining and glass.
Required port of entry in Brazil is Santos.
