2021 Market Development Cooperator Program Proposal Opportunity

Applications for the U.S. Department of Commerce’s 2021 Market Development Cooperator Program (MDCP) are being accepted until May 25, 2021. Non-profit industry groups like trade associations, standards-developing organizations and some qualifying small- and medium-sized enterprises may be eligible for an MDCP grant by proposing innovative projects that address trade barriers, enhance industry competitiveness, and generate exports that create or sustain U.S. jobs.

MDCP awards establish a relationship with the International Trade Administration (ITA) and help underwrite the start-up costs of new foreign market development projects that industry organizations are often reluctant to undertake without federal government support. MDCP projects strengthen the competitiveness of U.S. industry by generating exports of nonagricultural goods and services produced in the United States.
