On September 17, 2021, the Department of Commerce (Commerce) announced its affirmative final determinations in the antidumping duty (AD) investigations of aluminum foil from Armenia, Brazil, Oman, Russia, and Turkey; and countervailing duty (CVD) investigations of aluminum foil from Oman and Turkey.

The petitioners contend that imports of aluminum foil from subject countries are being misclassified under HTSUS 7607.11.6010; therefore, for purposes of import statistics, HTSUS 7607.11.6010 has been included.

The petitioners are the Aluminum Association Trade Enforcement Working Group and its individual members, Gränges Americas Inc., JW Aluminum Company, and Novelis Corporation.
