State-Level Benefits of Resolved Trade Barriers
The State-Level Benefits of The Trade Agreements Compliance Program prepared by the International Trade Administration (ITA) presents interactive state export data and successful efforts to eliminate trade barriers resolved between 2018-2023. ITA enlists the help of interagency colleagues, including the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR), the Departments of Agriculture, and State (among others) to engage foreign government officials and resolve trade barriers.
A state may not have a listed STC for a variety of reasons, most commonly because some states’ top exports are all related to agricultural products. Agricultural trade barriers are addressed by The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS).
