OUR EXPORT ASSISTANCE PARTNERS

The New Jersey District Export Council (NJDEC) is a private, non-profit organization, that brings together experienced international business professionals who provide guidance and assistance in international markets. It works closely with professionals of the U.S. Commercial Service in our region.  The District Export Council encourages and supports: exports that strengthen individual companies, stimulate U.S. economic growth, and create jobs; export expansion activities by working with the U.S. Commercial Service offices; and opportunities to promote greater export activity at the local level by developing a trade assistance network.

Small Business Development Centers (SBDC)
As part of America’s SBDC network, the most comprehensive small business assistance network in the U.S., the New Jersey SBDC helps companies at every stage of your business lifecycle. This includes working with business owners who are interested in expanding their sales to overseas markets. The SBDC can help you determine if and how exporting fits with your overall business plans.

Export Import Bank of the United States (ExIm)
U.S. exporters use ExIm trade finance products to win deals and get paid: Insurance, Working Capital, and Loan Guarantees backed by the U.S. federal government.  For assistance please contact Regina Gordin, Deputy Managing Director, 917-826-5642, Regina.Gordin@exim.gov.

Small Business Administration (SBA) Export Financing
Most U.S. banks view loans for exporters as risky. This makes it harder for you to get loans for things like day-to-day operations, advance orders with suppliers, and refinancing existing debts. That’s why the SBA created programs to provide lenders with up to a 90 percent guaranty on export loans.  For assistance please contact Ed Ekel, Export Finance Manager, 212-809-2645, Eduard.Ekel@SBA.gov.

Food Export Association of the Northeast USA
Created and funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, this is one of four “State Regional Trade Groups” which offer access to USDA programs and resources. These programs include a variety of export training and financial assistance opportunities for the agricultural sector. For assistance please contact Deborah Ingravallo, Food Export Liaison, 215-599-9747, dingravallo@foodexport.org.
