President's Export Council Members
Up to twenty-eight private-sector leaders are appointed by the President to be members of the Council. They serve, "at the pleasure of the President," with no set term of office. Five United States Senators and five members of the House of Representatives are appointed to the Council by the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House, respectively. The heads of the United States Conference of Mayors and the National Governors Association serve on the Council alongside the Secretaries of Agriculture, Commerce, Energy, Homeland Security, Labor, Treasury, Transportation, and State; the U.S. Trade Representative; the Administrator of the Small Business Administration; the President of the Export-Import Bank of the United States; the President of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation; the Director of the United States Trade and Development Agency; the Director of the Office of Management and Budget; the Chairman of the Council of Economic Advisors; and the Director of the National Economic Council.
